New 16M Power Cat Catamaran Design

Our new 16 Metre Power Cat design was built at Sea Cat Ships in Asia.

This design is based on the proven Calypso X1 design which has been a great coastal dive boat operating out to the great barrier reef daily and performs well at medium and high speeds.

The lower level is fitted with comfortable fabricated aluminium seating and sumbrella fabric cushions with tables for 37 persons suitable for dinning and also fitted is island seating on the aft’ deck for another 13 persons giving a total of 50 passenger seating on the lower deck all under cover. This deck also includes a large servery/bar and a toilet/shower. The lower deck is open to allow good ventilation and has role down clear covers in case of bad weather.

The upper deck has the same fabricated aluminium seat /table arrangement as the lower deck to suit 20 passengers with full walk-around access for whale watching or event viewing. For coastal services she can carry up to 50 passengers and sheltered waters up to 70 passengers.

This is an open fly bridge version, there are various possible other configuration such as hard top or enclosed flybridge. Commercial vessel operations options such as Coastal Dive Boat, Whale Watcher, Ferry or Tour Boat.

The vessel is built to accommodate twin Suzuki 325 h.p. (or quad 250 h.p.) 4 stroke outboard engines with speeds of over 24 knots with a confortable 20 Knot cruise speed. (Speeds of over 32 knots with quad 250 outboards)

The aft’ deck also features a suspended dive/viewing platform with fold down stairwell which gives access the water for snorkeling or scuba diving or to the beach for boarding or disembarking.
